This attractive municipality situated in the popular region of O Salnés, in the heart of the Rías Baixas in the province of Pontevedra, is the most touristy coastal town in all of Galicia.

Located in Meis, it is just moments from Sanxenxo. It is catalogued as a historical-artistic monument and thanks to its architecture, size, materials, location and surroundings it is a place full of charm, that is almost magical, on the sides of mount Castrove.
From an architectural point of view it is one of the best examples of Romanesque art in Galicia.
They belong to the National Land-Marine Park of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia (Illas Atlánticas), which since 13 June 2002 has been the first National Park in the Galician community.
You can visit these heavenly islands during the summer months and enjoy their spectacular scenery, rich fauna and unique vegetation.
The nearby Ons Island forms part of the Natural Park of the Atlantic Islands, next to the Cíes, Sálvora, and Cortegada islands.
It can be fully explored in just a day, although you can also camp on it, by placing a request a few days in advance.
Boats leave from Sanxenxo and Portonovo every 45 minutes from 10 in the morning.
